A GUIDE TO CARRY-ON SIZES AND WEIGHT: Carry-on size restrictions vary by airline, but the average domestic carry-on is 22" x 14" x 9" (inches) or 56cm x 35cm x 23cm outer dimensions, which includes the wheels and handle. This will ensure that your bag will fit safely in the overhead bin during the flight. While some airlines restrict the weight of a carry-on, some do not, some weight your carry-on, and some do not. Weight limits vary from 15 lbs to 22 lbs or 6.8kg to 10kg.
